Kurese farm welcomed visitors on Natura 2000 day, May 2016

May 21, 2016, the European Natura 2000 day: the first visitor day in the framework of the LIFE Viva Grass project took place in Kurese pilot area, Estonia. More than 20 people took part in the event, including several local entrepreneurs with their families as well as the chairman of the local municipal council. The founder of Kurese nature farm Urmas Vahur led a tour where he introduced the nature values and cultural heritage of the Kurese area. This was followed by a picnic during which the current owner of the Kurese farm Egon Mirme talked about the LIFE Viva Grass project and future plans for the farm.

A local enterprise Sepa Mahetalu (Sepa Organic Farm) offered food prepared with local ingredients.
